The Greek/Czech musician and producer Michalis Michailidis, currently based in the Netherlands, and who is behind Okkio, has counted on los amigos digitales to help him with the launch of “Immersion”, his debut solo EP.
“Immersion” is divided into two volumes. The first has been published a few days ago (you can listen to it here), and the second will arrive to all digital platforms on December 16th (you can pre-save it here)
“Immersion” contains collaborations with visual artist Caio Vita, graphic designer Nina Michailidou, and movie maker Max van Boxel.
los amigos digitales are helping with digital strategy, pitching to platforms, content plan, digital advertising campaigns… so that Okkio’s music reaches the largest possible audience interested in it.
Michalis Michailidis, the person behind Okkio, was born in Thessaloniki (Greece), showed a knack for music in his early teens and started having music lessons from several acknowledged local musicians.
In 2011 he moved to the Netherlands and completed his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees, the latter in Rotterdam, where he is currently based.
During his decade-long residency in the Netherlands, Okkio developed a distinctive style of music production and musical voice based on a colorful merge of instruments, analog synths and digital components.
Besides working on his own project, Okkio also does music production and co-writing for singer Ysa Bermejo. Their second EP “Sintropia” will be released this Winter and features artists such as Bocafloja (Sa Rok, Dead Prez, KEXP, NPR) and producer/mastering engineer Mucky (Sevdaliza, Black Eyed Peas, Shakira)
